[Question] Cumulative displacement/strain fields for particles
Hello Thank you for these great resources. I would like to ask a question rather than propose an issue. Sorry I haven't found the Q & A section yet. Could you please share the guideline for computing cumulative displacement/strain for grain materials? If possible, I prefer to use local dic since I need strain fields on my domain and I have multiple images during deformation. (i.e., not only t 0 -> 1. it also contains t 0 -> 1 -> 2 ... -> n.) I plan to compute increment/cumulative strain. My concern is if we just add up the displacement fields it may mislead the cumulative displacement since there is grain movement/rotation not only for deformation especially when we have a long time span.
I'd appreciate it if you could provide some recommendations for this problem. Thanks again
