In the file https://gricad-gitlab.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/augierpi/coursem1_pa_instabilities_turbulence/-/blob/master/install.md, there is written:
Note for Windows users
You can now install Ubuntu inside Windows. It is called the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). There are many tutorials on the web that you can follow to install Ubuntu in Windows with WSL, for example this one. Then, you should be able to do all what we do in the following with exactly the same commands.
I think it would make sense that all students working on Windows try to install Ubuntu in their Windows. Can you please try an send feedback on how it went in this issue.
Note after the first practical session: follow the instructions in this page https://medium.com/@macasaetjohn/setting-up-a-spyder-environment-with-wsl-bb83716a44f3 (except that you can use Ubuntu 20.04, which is more recent).
