xz axis swap
Because of tifffile we are used to swap z and x axis. Actually I just figured while working on structured grid that this is justified by the default 'C' order of ravel/flatten numpy function that makes the reshaping very easy and natural if the axis as swapped.
So I also switched the x and z axis in the mesh.structured
since we're dealing with regular grid there.
Now when it comes to unstructured grid like in mesh.unstructured
there is no point in having natural reshaping functions. And because of default meshio read/write functions I didn't swap the axis.
My problem is that the projection part in mesh.projection
we deal with both structured and unstructured meshes... so it' s a mess.
My question: should we swap xz everywhere ? should we swap them just for DIC ? should we keep a mix of them ?
