A few unclear statements in your notebooks for AITA
In mean_grain.ipynb:
"The "average" orientation is defined as the main eigen vector of the second order orientation tensor (see uvecs.OT2nd). And can be computed with aita.mean_grain."
Not clear at all... to reformulate.
It would be useful to precise when both orientation data and microstructure data are required and when orientation data is sufficient. For instance, is the microstructure data necessary in the mis_angle_dist tool?
In mis_angle_dist.ipynb:
I don't understand "### Random misorientation distribution
It is important to compare the distribution with the random distribution. A strong texture can already have a strong impact on the random distribution therefore you should always compare your distribtion with the random one. "
about loading the data:
Do you say somewhere that there exist 2 shape of AITA raw files, some with 3 columns and some with 5 columns, and that, depending on the file, you should do data=lda.aita5col(path_data,path_micro) or data=lda.aita3col(path_data,path_micro)?
