Improve queries that help generate Heatmaps

Ideas for improvements :

• get_dates_range is way too time consuming for what it does
• Make get_dates_range more robust (If Channel with id=1 does not exists, get_dates_range will throw an Exception)
• shrink down the size of the request result when getting checks
